95 740il coolant leaking from transmission (archive)

Very distraught about my coolant situation. I had a new engine installed from the factory (factory recall) @ 98000 miles, I also had a new waterpump installed @ the same time. Now after only 3,000 miles I have developed a severe coolant leak. I put the car up on a hoist and with the engine running there seems to be coolant leaking severly from the transmission? Am I in trouble?
If anyone out there in 740 land has had this experience or knows what the heck is going on please let me know. I am having the car towed to the nearest BMW dealer in Bellevue on wednesday but in the meantime I would like to know about this myself. If anyone responds pleae cc this addres khyoung1@attbi.com
