Here are the part numbers, sources and prices I got when researching the parts needed for this project. Some of you have asked me to post these to do this project yourselves. I found most of these parts are widely available so you can get them from your favorite or nearest BMW discount parts source. I used Pacific BMW so far because they had the best price on the covering glass, but the other bits were about the same as others I looked up. The only part that was hard to source, was the lens frame holder which is needed to get the new covering glass to fit, and of course is a critical part of the new headlights look. These I had to order from my co-worker who lives in Munich, because all the US dealers and parts suppliers told me that these part numbers were "not valid". I suppose this means that BMW NA does not import them and therefore they are not in the BMW NA parts database which all dealers and most of the 3rd party resellers use to price out parts.

I haven't rceived these yet, but when I do I'll let you all know how they look and fit into the 98 housings. By the way the part numbers I listed for the lens frames are for the "Chromeline" version because I want the all chromed look inside my headlights. Again this option is not offered in the NA cars, but I saw them on "Nico's 750" one of our members from down under, and I think they look much better than the NA standard equipment.
