I ran a 2000 740i w/sport package for a little over two years and loved it - best car we have ever had! After considering the debate over the E65 - we decided to purchase one of the last E38s - a 740iL w/sport package - and it appears to be another WINNER! My hope is that BMW will return the 7 to a more evolutionary style and drivers car over the next couple of years - and the market may demand it. Time will tell - I'm set for several years - but want a future purchase path that the current E65 will not meet.
