I too think John Roberts of Austin is one of the better dealers. Troy Massey, one of the sales folks, is actually enthusiastic and is very familiar with the BMW product line. My experience with service was quite good except for the chronic problems (new '97 740iL). e.g. after the third replacement of one or the other catalytic converters, the service advisor suddenly could not hear the rattle. It got so loud that my neighbors would use it as a time reference mark, hearing me drive away from my garage each morning. Don't think it did much to convert others to BMW buyers however. That may have been a directive from BMWNA, replace it at most three times and then become deaf.

I would be hard put to find a kind word for John Roberts of Dallas however.

I have seen several posts on the board concerning the poor service from the dealer. I am very lucky in that my dealer in Austin, John Roberts, has an excellent mechanic (Jeremy)that works on 750s and the Service Writer (Scott Ledkey) is one of the best in the industry. Scott, is a real car guy who loves the bimmers and has an excellent knowledge of the vehicle and the repair issues. Jeremy knows the ins and outs of the 750's, together they have fixed problems that the after market repair shops have not been able to repair.

Infact, Sott goes to Fla to test drive the new E65.
