No they are not going up!! and never will. Everyone can bad mouth the next 7 but with any new car its sales will most likely far exceed the current 7s yearly sales in its introduction year. Heck the last generation of the S-Class MB was ugly and they were snapped up `92 and still retain a high resale compared to the 7. I personally am not in love with the style but I can assure you when the time comes the majority here on the board will eat their words and make the migration.
