Name one racing team or high performance Brake manufacturer that does not use "drilled" rotors.
Cast is best. The purpose of the holes is not to cool the rotor but to allow the gases (braking plasma) that build up under extreme heat/stress, to escape, instead of forming a "barrier" between the contact surface(s) of the pads and the rotor.
Show me a Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, RACING BMW, (or even Nascar for that matter) that use's solid rotor's? The warping (crap) is usually not from a problem with the rotor , but from the idiot driving the car. Anything can be abused, including rotors...They cost more and are really a must on cars that can potentially deliver the driver into problems/trouble--if the car is more powerful than the solid rotors of lesser cars/systems, are able to handle. The pads will NOT wear any faster and will not be eaten up in "cheese grater" fashion as someone else mentioned. At speed, the revolutions of the rotor become an almost solid surface to the pad and the pad will not eat into the holes of the rotor...Ask someone at Ferrari or Lambo or Porsche
what they think about solid rotors....
