Some guys on the board have had it done and I hear it's like $400 to do so. I recently had to break the trans cooler line for something I was working on and I went to the dealer to buy a quart of ATF to top off the trans and they do not even sell it by the quart. They only had it in bulk, I guess for trans rebulids. Anyway they pumped some out for me and I paid $30.00 for one quart. I hear from eveyone you do not have to worry about ever changing it.

While reading my owners manual I noticed that there is no service interval for the automatic transmission fluid on my '95 E38. I spoke to my dealer who tells me that this is correct. I've read elsewhere that it would be a good idea to change the fluid at least every 50K miles. Any comments or personal experiences would be appreciated.
