Frank,
My '97 uses ATF for powersteering fluid. I almost "lost it" in a turn at Pocono last year because the steering went "south" while I was trying to exit the middle turn (#3)in Pocono's North course.

It turns out that the fluid in the resevoir needs to be flushed out & replaced at 40 k miles. There is a screen within the resevoir that needs to be addressed as well (either cleaned or replaced). Once VAC Motorsports flushed the system and screen, I have experienced to trouble.
