code for o2 sensors will come up with the pvc valve and the diaphragm problem described below--o2 codes seem to come on anytime theree is a problem with the mix, even if the sensors are not bad

Hey guys,

I need some help! My 95 740il recently began idling very rough after driving up a steep grade and the check engine light came on. I recently had a leak down done and the car passed with flying colors. (less than 9% per cylinder) The car has 80K miles. Is it likely that the PCV valve has gone bad. It also makes a loud whistling sound somewhere around the back of the motor.
