Inspection II is a major mechanical inspection required at something like 40K intervals. It involves may maintence items not normally covered under the standard oil change inspections. Items such as changing the rear differential fluid, electrical tests, in addition to all of the items in the oil service, and inspection I services. You can get the complete list in the maintence schedule section of your owners manual. From what I hear it normally runs something like $700-$900.

Inspection II currently due.


I noticed on previous post someone mentioning about where to go when inspection II comes on. I am new to bmw and I am familiar with the resetting of the maintenance light which I did when I had my oil changed. No big deal my mechanic just used resetter for that.

But is this inspection II something else???? According to the post sounds like a big deal>>???? what's up>>>???
