Mike et All!

Here are some comments:

o Make sure you read the instruction a few times.
Plan ahead, tools, glue, drill, etc., so you
don't waste time. In my case I do have the TIS
& ETK in CD-ROM as reference (Ver Feb 2/01). It
helped a lot. I also downloaded the E36 & E46
instructions from OmniTec Motorsports as ref.
o Take your time if you are not familiar with the
headlight assembly. For example; the most
tedious thing for me was understanding how to
take off the trim part below the lens. Once I
found out, the rest was easy.
o Understand that not all headlights assemblies
are the same. So you may need to be creative.
For example; I drilled holes in a slightly
different place since I haven't upgraded to the
latest light assemblies.
o I completed the right side installation in 4
hrs. (breaks included). The left side just 2
hrs. I was a bit hesitant in the morning
because it was my first time around the
headlight assembly. The afternoon was a breeze.
o It is important to mention that if the glue to
attach the LED's to the halo is not dense, it
must not be allowed to run into the hole nor
cover the led. The reason is that this happened
to me and one of the halos has a very slight
yellowish tone to it. Not bad though, I noticed
because I know. I used "Super Glue" to hold the
LEDs in place and clear silicone to hold the
halos in place. Some sort of epoxy will work as
well.
o Tapping power it's easy. Connect 12v to parking
lights and any ground will do. In fact, the
instructions do not lead you to any specific
cable. You'll have to decide where to tap.
o Test the thing prior to re-assembling. You
don't want to find that a LED or cable is
broken after putting everything together.

Funny thing: when I finished the right side was noon. I was somehow disappointed since they didn't look as bright as I expected. I went ahead
and completed the left side. Then darkness came and the look was awsome! I've gone to the market twice just to see people's reaction.

That's as much as I can tell you about my experience. Let me know if there is anything other questions or comments. Hope this helps.

David
