Just soap and water, works just fine on the M Parallels and on my Boxster wheels. I will try a wheel cleaner next go around. Any recommendations for the wheel cleaner?

Do you just use soap and water, or have you tried a good wheel cleaner, which is designed to dissolve grime and brake dust?

I bought a set of 16" Borbet wheels with Artic Alpins (from Tire Rack)for my 740iS to be used for winter driving. The set-up works great! However, with the warm weather this weekend, I had a chance to do an extensive washing of the car. I found that the wheels were very difficult to clean, just the opposite of the stock "S" wheel. Seems that the black stuff adhears to the (aluminum?) wheel and requiires major rubbing to get clean.
My regular wheels clean up well with just a brushing (boars hair of course)with soapy water. Any advice?
