e myself? I read below that you do it yourself and would like to but would also like to know the logistics involved. I don't have tools. Nor a stand to raise the car. I have to buy them first.

For example:

8 quarts Mobil 1 (will buy)
8 quart oil pan (will buy) - how do you dispose of oil?
BMW oil Filter (have that)
What wrench to use
How to raise the car
What to look out for so as not to create future damage
to the vehicle.

Maybe later on, I would also need instructions on how to change the brake pads. They may be at the end of their term.

I have a black/grey 97 740iL. No major problems (that cost me out-of pocket) ever since I got it from CT last Jan 2001.
(I live in mid-Brooklyn and about 20 mins from Belle Harbor.
We're practically neighbors.)
