As mentioned OEM is Behr. You will be glad to know that BMW has not fixed this problem, so the new one you buy will be just as prone to failure as the one you are replacing. You can expect 50K to 100K between replacements. (how many mile were on yours) Stealer list is $600 but have seen it at $300 at other suppliers. I do not know of anyone that is making an improved product. Easy enough to change, check hoses and expansion tank while you are at it. May also want to replace expansion tank cap. If you want a good chuckle the official BMWNA answer to this, yes I heard it with my own ears, is "the failure is caused by someone leaning on the radiator neck".
My 740I just broke her radiator neck and I need to find a replacement. Any suggestions on the replacement? factory replacement or an aftermarket? Any tips when replacinf the radiator?
Mine had 73K. I just removed it from the car. Not too bad (a little tight).
Are there any service bulletins? Any possibility of the dealer replacing it under some obscure warranty/recall?
