The BMW coolent is supposed to last 100-k. I think it will react better with the internal parts over time. Some others think the non-BMW coolent will break down the plastic in the raditor over time. I don't know if that's true but when mine broke it had green or Prestone antifreeze in it.

coolant. A little expensive but worth it.......The OWM radiator is a Behr

My 740I just broke her radiator neck and I need to find a replacement. Any suggestions on the replacement? factory replacement or an aftermarket?

Any tips when replacinf the radiator?

Thanks for the info. I visited the web site and have my order in.

Why the recommendation for the BMW coolant vs Prestone?
