You can either defeat the whole chime function by disconnecting it (under the dash), or defeat the temperature input to the chime circuit on the motherboard. The latter is pretty complicated and will require board modification, by disconnecting the outside temperature signal from the chime switching transistor/zener diode sending circuit. You'll need a detail circuit diagram for the mother board, or you'll spend some time tracing out the circuits with the board removed, but it can be done. It's truly not worth it, though, particularly when you consider the 37F signal is supposed to be a safety feature and keep you out of ice trouble. Bob H.
