i'm assuming you are planning on cutting a hole in the rear deck.. if so, you can make your own grill with speaker netting.. just take any speaker grill ring and use the netting to cover it. Usually car audio shops carry this material in various colors.. On my old car, I tried to spray paint a grill and it turned out terrible.. the paint eventually came off.. so don't try the spray paint approach on grills.

another great idea, which my brother did in his 325is, was to make a custom subwoofer in his trunk and construct a custom rear speaker panel so that the ports for the box fired upwards into the custom panel.. he covered the ports with speaker grills. it helped break through that tough back seat and allowed a lot of bass to get into the cabin.

Guyz,
Most of my mods have been performance oriented. I am considering audio and I like the Infinity Bass Link idea. I wonder if this would work?
Mount the bass unit upside down between the two rear deck speakers and install a speaker grille between the existing rear deck speakers. Does anyone know if this has been done? Does anyone know where I can get a grille that closly approximates the OEM grilles there (sand interior)?
Thanks.
Simeon
