Anyone having intermittent display/radio problems (archive)

I have been having problems with my display screen going blank or frozen with date time. When this occurs the radio also functions for a short period, then also cuts off. On different occasions, the radio plays in mono and the screen works except for the radio station is not displayed.

I decided to remove things from the equation and began with removing the navigation cd/dvd. After I did this, the problem has gone away. It has only been a short time, so I don't know if this is the cause or not. My assumption is that the boot-up diags for the nav system fail and cause the rest of the "overly complex" dsp unit to fail.

Anyone else have this type of problem?
