Also depends on your defintion of major. These cars are not at the top of anyone's reliability list as they have too many interdependent hi-tech components. If dependability is your top consideration, I suggest you buy a Toyota with as few gadgets a possible. Just my opinion. However, when they are running right, you won't find a better ride. I'm looking for a 96-98 7 Series and I was wondering about reliability and how long these cars will last before major problems become a factor. I want a car that will last forever and be dependable. Is this the right car ?
