I think the problem deals with the mechanical drive more than the CD or could be both. I never use the stupid software anyway, so I just removed the CD. If the problem does not appear in 2-3 weeks, then I guess it's fixed. I bought this car for the mechanical engineering, not the bells and whistles!!!! Besides, my hand-held Magellan makes this system look antiquated.


Has started happening sine I got the 2001.2 NAV CD Upgrade. Looks like might need a NAV Code upgrace to fix it (am currently running 2-70 and guess the latest one is 2-80), but my dealer does not have it.

Let us know if that fixes your problem..
