McKenna BMW - A Positive Experience (archive)

Having authored several less than flattering comments about BMW service I feel compelled to advise of a positive event I know of, at least indirectly.
My sister in law has a Z3, with an automatic transmission. The car has about 48K on it, and was making some harsh downshifts. The dealer, McKenna, (not the selling dealer), replaced one component, and did not fix the problem. My sister in law advised she could not have the car tied up for days for additional diagnosis. The dealer air freighted a complete replacement transmission in and completed the job in two days, because they wanted to make sure the car was right before the 50K mileage expiration.
I do not know about others, but this has not been my experience, with 7 series cars, and I felt this was worthy of recognition!
