The reason the ETK states that this part is not listed for your vehicle is because this part number is found on the cars I earlier mentioned - not an E38.
If anyone with an ETK, would change the vehicle ID (in their search) to a E32 or E34 then the part number can be identified - as well as the use of the part....I challenge one of these "experts" to try....the part number is for an engine knock sensor (gasoline quality and timing for your ECU...
