What to look at before the vehicle warranty ends? (archive)

The new vehicle warranty on my recently acquired 99 740iL is going to expire by mid-November this year.
From your experiences what is the list of all key elements I
should thouroughly check and potentially replace before that date?
Is there such thing as a statistical report on all frequent problems that have been fixed by BMW dealers under warranty for a specific model?
A dealer recently accessed and printed all the repairs that have already been performed on my car so there may be a central database that could give such information for all 99 740iL.
