Seach function on this board sucks... (archive)

Why does the search feature on this board only search the archives? Whenever I do a search (in this case "emissions") I alwas get posts from forever and a day ago, back when this was an E32 board. I could care less about the post regarding the E32.

Am I doing something wrong? I want to do a search and get any posts that related to emission problems on our E38's and I can't get any decent results.
