on my '96 750iL i had owned, the check engine light came on and it turned out to be a bad O2 sensor. i had them both replaced and the problem went away -- the labor cost was substantial if my memory serves me correctly. the car never failed the GA emissions tests, so i can't help there.

Ok, my 1995 740il has 122,000 miles, new engine block under warranty at 98,000 and new after market cats at 92,000. I just failed the Georgia emissions tests and here were the failed readings:

HC-ppm: reading = 105 allowable 108 FAIL
CO-%: reading = .75 allowable .60 FAIL
NO-ppm: reading = 2952 allowable 751 FAIL

I am guesing that I may need new oxegen sensors. Also, I have the DINAN engine and tranny chip...is it possible that my engine chip is causing the bad results?

Any and all thoughts welcome! Please post asap.
