The 16-way comfort seats were standard equipment on my 2001 740iL. For an additional $500., I got the "Active" comfort seat package on the front seats. This option is a small bag of oil under each cheek in your seat bottom which is pumped up and down alternately to exercise your spine while driving or riding on long trips. It feels great but we seldom remember to switch them on.
