more like 375-380hp... (archive)

i remember being told about 410hp from the shop that did the dinan work for me... but when i got out to the dinan web site and add up the numbers, they don't come close.

- dinan ported & polished manifolds add appx 43hp
- dinan free flow exhausts add another 10hp...
- K&N air filters -- who knows...

anyway, plenty fast for me for the time being.

Mark is right, the front ends look so much better now with chrome around the headlights, instead of the stock black. The lights look much livelier and blends very well with the '01 chrome grill and the clear signals.

While taking pics of our cars at the local supermarket parking lot, two youngsters came up and raved about how nice our cars looked. They didn't notice the chromelining job we just completed, but the smiles on their faces were satisfaction enough! Calypso stole the show by taking them out for a spin in the 410+hp Dinan V12.... :)

ox and i got together today with the intent of "chromelining" the trim around our headlights... to take it from the drab black to... you get the idea.

here's a before and after picture. there are *lots* more pictures to come, as ox and i are going to write up the procedure. i gotta tell ya -- i was nervous about attempting this because i didn't have any idea how, and even more than that, i wondered if i'd like the outcome. i am so excited we did this! it really does brighten the front of the car.
