I just went to the dealership yesterday to take my first look at the 745i and 745Li. (I think see your point, but I'm not familiar with Altima . . . it's not on my radar screen). While not thrilled with the new 7 styling, I did think it looked better in person. I did not see a reason for some of the styling changes, but this controversy is old news now. I am debating buying a MB S500, or possibly S55, vs the 745i. I'm not in a particular hurry to buy anything; I'm just doing my "due diligence" now. Started to buy 2001 7-Series last year, then decided to wait to see the new ones.
