In my 740 owner's manual, on page(s) 112-114 are the instructions for programing the remote for the garage opener. Follow the instructions for the "...opener with the Conversion Code..." you may have to attempt setting/clearing a couple of times before you get it. A second person at the garage door opener, operating/monitoring the "learn" switch/light (on the garage door opener) while the other is programing the in-car remote will help make this easier...If your manual mentions (as mine does) the procedure for the "conversion-code" opener's -- then your remote will/should operate your opener...
