Thanks - very interesting info. Noise was so often last night we went ahead and took it in to the dealer this morning, fortunately it is under warranty. Naturally, didn't make a peep all the way to the dealer so we'll have to see if they find anything. It's almost like a bearing going bad, whatever that could be. It's almost like my computer, if I start it up sometimes the harddrive must not be seated properly and vibrates real loud, but if I restart then all is fine. Same with the car, if it doesn't start this intermittent grinding pretty soon after startup, then it won't do it at all. So sometimes restarting the car fixes it - wierd. Think it's still the same noise you have? - TC
