mdrag - ok - so much for the easy guesses! I ran a 2001 740i/sport package and had very little tire wear at 15,000. My new 740iL/s has too few miles on it to predict how they will wear - they have the new Michelin Pilot Sport tire and I will probably like them better than the Michelins that came with my 2001 740i/s. Check out TireRack - their site lists all of the tires that you might be interested in along with their tire wear rating. Also - are you certain that BMW offers the 18" M parallel wheels as an "authorized" option for the non-sport suspension setup? You have them but is the suspension too soft for that low a profile tire?
