Hmmm... either bad o2 sensor, or you may have a Genie living in your catalytic converter...


I've got a 1999 740il with about 51k on it. Last night it started making a loud whining sound, and emitting blue smoke while my wife was driving it. She called and I went down to check on it and when I started it, there was no whining, but it did emit blue smoke and ran kind of rough.
Any ideas?
