Tire pressure for Michelin Pilot Sports on 18" (archive)

I have the factory Sport Package on a 2001 740iL. The car came with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The door says 29/35 for up to four passengers, 32/39 for max load. The last set of front tires only lasted 13.5K miles before the outside tread was gone. After about 7k miles I started running the fronts at 35psi.

What cold pressure are you guys running? I almost always drive alone, or with one other passenger, so I should be running 29/35 according to BMW. I love the plusher ride at 29psi, but if the tires will wear better and drive better at 32/39 or higher I'll change.

BTW, I just got new tires Friday and I have an alignment booked for Tues...joe
