That's not entirely correct. The holes will allow vapors to escape more easily and ensure a better contact between the pads and the rotors.

In general, rotors that have been drilled can be weakened and are not a great solution. Rotors that are built with the holes in it are much better, such as the Brembo ones.

In any case, for street use they are kind of a waste, but it makes a lot of sense for any kind of racing and very high performance street cars.

What is the advantages/disadvantages of having Cross Drilled rotors VS regular ones. Does anyone have them on their car and what have been there experience.
