I thought pads have 1/2 the life expectancy with cross drilled vs. normal rotors

...SOmething about the "Cheese Grater" effect

I also heard it was best to countersink the holes so to eliminate this...

Any opinions guys?

What is the advantages/disadvantages of having Cross Drilled rotors VS regular ones. Does anyone have them on their car and what have been there experience.
