My car is the same color as Gat's, after unsuccessfully trying to find a body shop to fill the gap left by the smaller lights. I went ahead and changed the fenders ($330.00 each), and paid and additional $350 for installation and painting the fenders. The lights cost me $700, but they are halogen (fine by me) Xenon would have been double. I was able to get a break on the labor and cost of the lights (timing). But, like Gary suggested it will cost you roughly 2 grand for the face upgrade. I brought my lights first and then waited a couple of months and then did the fender job, that way I was able to slide it past the misses. At the time you get your fender work done you can have front grill replaced and clean up any scratches around the car.

True 2001 look will require rocker change, molding and all, that will be the next step for me, for now I am pleased with just having the black bottom trim painted.

With my car having factory Navigation and a new motor (dealer cost) I feel I do have a true 2001 (IMHO).

Not sure about the 8 - 10k quote Gat speaks of, unless that includes rims, tires, springs and shocks. Goodluck

Big H
