The glass in question is an option called break resistant glass. I just purchased a '99 Sport with the glass, supposedly it will withstand a small caliber bullet. The inner portion of the glass has a thin "security" film, much like tint which can scratch very easily, be careful. I believe there is another film between the panes which you say might be "bubbling". I don't think it poses a security problem or a breakage problem, but maybe the dealer could look at it and replace it. We think someone attempted to steal my car a few weeks ago and cracked the outer pane of the passenger front window. He tried to use a crowbar to pry it down and was, fortunately, unsuccessful (the window didn't budge, just a small crack). The glass is very expensive, on the tune of $850 for the side window, couldn't find it on the secondary market either. Anyway, took it to the dealer (since it is still under factory warranty), and they paid for it.
