Also---the front detector was installed behind the grill at the top left (looking at the car from the front)---which is as high as it can get.
Obviously the laser plate just replaces the front license plate

Just had a K40 1000 w/Laser plate plus installed.
The City/highway LED was put in the knockout to the right of the dash lights reostat thumbwheel and the actual Red Led--warning light was put inside the instrument cluster---mounted in the roof of the cluster (behind the "glass") in the middle--just above the Hi Beam blue indication icon.
It is absolutely a fantastic install--TOTALLY undetectable and factory OEM appearing--the single LED warning light handles all radar bands plus laser "strikes" by varying flashes and of course the audio tones change to indicate which radar is zapping you
Total installed cost for me was $900---done in my driveway.----mine is a 99 740i
Happy ticket free motoring
Dave
I'd like to see some pictures of what the installation looks like from the driver's seat, and if possible, where they mount the actual detectors.

Just curious where they put stuff.

Thanks,

tw
