granted there is more depreciation, from MSRP, on the 750, (no one pays MSRP) but there is more value, if you want power and luxury unavailable on the 740. The 750 has more luxuries, like adjustable rear seating, etc. as well as the more powerful and just as reliable, V12. The "experts" that will tell you the V12 costs more to maintain, I guarantee you..have NEVER owned a BMW V-12. Because of the added cylinders, there is two of everything, (i.e. certain filters, batteries, DK motors, etc.) however no question, BMW recognizes their V-12 as their PREMIER engine. The real/wider experts on these engines are former 750 owners, however, I suggest you post your inquires on the E31 board, as these folks are the majority and experts on the BMW V-12.
