They show up on eBay fairly frequently. One guy sells them for $35.95 "buy it now". I bought one and installed it last weekend. It is a factory BMW part, "chrome" plated plastic. Just clean the trunk lid, temporarily mark the center of the strip to make sure that it is installed evenly, peel off the backing and it sticks on. It is best to do in warm weather. I believe that the adhisive tends to set over time, so the bond should get stronger after a day or so.

There is another seller with a similar part that goes for about $50. They are suposedly made of stainless steel and include a tube of adhesive. I was not able to find an open auction, but here is a completed one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1819349153. I have not seen this model, so I cannot comment on it.

If you ever change your mind, keep this tip in mind. The best way to remove any stick on trim and "badges" is to use dental floss. Just slip it under the trim and "saw" back and forth. Any other way will likely break them. You will then need some type of solvent or adhesive remover to get off the remaining adhisive tape.
