The "Trans Failsafe Prog." will come on when the fluid pressure in the pressure valve solenoid drops. This can happen if the vehicle is moving but the engine RPMs drop causing the pressure to fall. Can also happen with low fluid, blockage in the valve etc. How many miles on the car? When was the fluid last changed. I know that the manufact. recommends no service on the trans. but more and more technicians are changing from that belief. I have found that if we change out the fluids on these vehicles at 50,000 miles these cars have less failure. Most failure is do to the pressure valve getting clogged. These valves can not be cleaned and cost almost the amount of a transmission to replace. So if the "light" comes on find out the reason and attend to it.
