Congrats again, Simeon. This is a major success! We are all happy for you.

Here in California, we only have 91 octane gas. So I carries a few bottles of octane booster in my trunk.

I exchanged email with the ESS folks in Norway before. One thing that I didn't like was that they told me the stock transmission on my 740i Sport should handle the extra torque. They claimed that they would not manufacture this product if it would damage the transmission. To me, it just did not inspire confidence. Maybe you can publish your dyno numbers later on...

Please comment more your Pirelli PZero Rosso Assimetrico tires. The owner of my local BMW independent claimed that he had put these tires on his BMW, but had to take them off only after 3,000 miles. He claimed that these tires had less road feel and worse performance than Michelin PS and Bridgestone S-03.

Thanks again.

Dave,

I filled her up with Sunoco 94 octane and we listened hard for the slightest hint of a ping or detonation. Bob, my teammate's father, kept making a point of asking us to be quiet so he could hear the motor. He was happy to report no hint of a problem. I suppose the guys in Aremark Norway know their stuff. After all thats "Big T"ville.

So far the Pirellis track exceptionally well. I can say that they do very well in the wet. Today my crew & I were in Long Island for an engagement party and it was raining on the return trip. Armed with the Valentine V1, I was pushing 90 - 100 on sections of the NJ Turnpike, and there was never a hint of hydro-planing. I understand they are softer than the Michelin PS though, so I'll have to see how long they last.

Simeon

I am very glad to see that your ESS supercharger is smooth. The ATI ProCharger on my 'Vette is quite jerky. Do you have to put octane booster in your fuel?

How do you like your new Pirelli PZero tires?

Tell us more. :-)
