| Message: | | I did this (4spd) and a year or so later put a 5spd in which was really worth the effort. Try get an earlier flywheel and 228mm clutch. It is worth overhauling the pedal box. It's probably also worth redoing the U joints on the driveline as well, new guibo, new hydraulics etc. The various articles on the 5spd conversion are useful. I accept doing a 4 spd is easier, however!! Remember to bypass or remove the wire that has the cut out to the starter from the auto shifter and it is easier to use the linkage from a manual than an auto version for the carb.
