I have for awhile now been doing a frame off restoration on my '73 2002 and I have just recently gotten it sandblasted and had some metal work done.

I have decided I want to built it to be a performance car but I can not decide whether or not I should rebuild the stock engine or get an engine from another car.

I have been looking around at popular 2002 performance modificatons and it seems a lot of people put the early model M3 engines. I was looking on eBay and found quite a few E36 1997 M3 engines for sale. Does anyone know if this will fit in my bay without a lot of extra body work?
