Here in mainland Europe 1600 GT's are easy to find if you search a bit (I have 4), but if I remember well, officially there were only 2 ever imported into the USA... Perhaps I am wrong but this is the number I remember. Anyhow, for those interested, a lot of 1600 GT information can be found at the German GLAS club. See www.glasclub.org or email me if you want other information...
The prices mentioned at the www.bmw02club.de on 1600GT's are applicable for mainland Europe but are not at all correct for the States (given only 2 were imported). Count yourself lucky if you see one (probably imported afterwards).
