| Message: | Hi all, I checked around the Seattle area and the diesel oils on the retail store shelves (Delo 400, etc) already have the new formulation CJ-4 (reduced zinc), so if you can find some CF-4 spec before they get swapped, grab what you can. In the meantime, Steve Norman (thanks Steve!) put me on to Bardahl in Seattle. They manufacture and export oils to Latin America, etc to meet the needs of the primarily older car population there. Bardahl makes a product called MVP Plus 20/50 which still contains 0.13% zinc, thereby conforming to API SJ or CF-4 specification. If you live in the Seattle area, you can pick up a case (12 quarts) at $28.80. For single orders of more than 12 cases, they will waive the ground shipping ($6/case to West Coast US) and charge the case price above. The person to contact at Bardahl is Rick Haaga at (206) 783 4851 x 230 or rick@bardahl.com. Cheers, Vidur | ||||
