| Message: | To all our fellow Track Rats and Racers: I've been posting on this board for a long time, helping when I can and also reading up on some very useful information. Thought I'd let you all know that I have decided to quit working out of my garage and have done the following ;) : Motion Engineering is pleased to announce that we have opened shop in San Clemente CA, Southern Orange County (exit off PICO). Basically half way between LA and San Diego...a bit closer to San Diego I suppose. Our Specialties: --Rollcage and chassis R&D. We are very familiar with current BMW CCA Club Racing, North American Bavarian Racing, and SCCA Club Racing rollcage requirements. --Custom suspension. How does a bolt-on, heim-jointed, remote resevoir, adjustable rear shock setup sound? --Solid-mount (6061 Aluminum) race bushings. --Custom race seat mounting. We like em' low; ranging from simple bracketing to extension of your rollcage underneath your race seat (we expect SCCA to make this a standard safety rule in the future). --Custom steering columns to accomodate your sitting as far back as possible to better balance your bimmer. Also, the use of 4130 3/4" tubing is a big weight saver --Custom pedal assemblies, remote or fixed. --Lexan window installation. --Dashboard fabrication. --Driving School cars to SPEED World Challenge and beyond, we have the tools necessary to build a car from the ground up! Recent Developments: MOTION Engineering is pleased to announce that our E30 M3 solid mount kit (6061 Aluminum) will be available for release this week. Kit utilizes: rear subframe bushings, rear diff mount bushing, transmission mounts, and 740i engine mounts). Power is crucial on the track. Why waste it through your factory bushings that were originally designed for comfort?? Minimize drivetrain power decay and leave your suspension to be the sole proprietor of movement. E36 and E46 bushings currently in development. Please feel free to swing by to see our facility (currently we have our MOTION-brewed 'Gruppe A' E30 M3 up in the air) and on occasion Mad Cow Motorsport's 328 SPEED Challenge car. If you have an inquiry on work that you are interested in having done, please don't hesitate to call us or email me. Stay tuned for future developments! Sincerely, Terry Best Motion Engineering (www.motionengineered.com : under construction) 530-B Via Pico Plaza San Clemente, CA 92672 (949) 212-0747 ![]() | ||||
