I've got a semi-generic Reese unit that you can find/order just about anywhere for under $80 (I paid $40.) that bolts to the bumper beam only. One set of small U-bolts through the rear (the rubber strip can be cut out to clear & cover them) and a couple of bolts through the bottom. The capacity is about *half* that of a Class I hitch (1000 lb./50 lb tongue wt.), but it's just about perfect for my 6'X8' bike trailer and the Shadow. The biggest problem is finding a hole through to the trunk for wiring.
