Insist on factory glass (304 views) 
Message: I realize this may be way to late and more for the archives....

I had my front glass replaced and lobbied the insurance company successfully. I had to make several calls, but finally got someone who looked into it and approved the BMW glass. This was several years ago, but the factory glass was no more expensive than whatever generic aftermarket glass they were going to use.
