If you remove the intake plenum - everything is easy enough to get at. The intake comes off fairly readily. Just a bunch of acorn nuts and a few hoses and electrical connectors to take off. Remove the air box and intake bellows first. There's a wonderful write-up on m5board.com that details the whole process (look up intake resonance system overhaul).
Re cost: Removing the plenum and replacing the hose is 2 maybe 3 hours of labour. The hose is probably $40 or so. Add in $50 to have the cooling system flushed and filled.
If one hose blew - then be suspicious of the others and have them looked at and replaced at the same time. With the plenum off, it's also good time to replace all of the vacuum hoses under there too. If they're original, they're probably brittle and unlikely to survive the disassembly process intact.
